In our organization, we appreciate and recognize the valuable contribution of those who choose to dedicate their time and effort as volunteers. If you are interested in joining our team, we invite you to learn about the participation requirements and the rights and obligations that this important role entails.
Who can be a volunteer?
Natural persons who freely and voluntarily decide to dedicate all or part of their time to carrying out our activities shall have the status of volunteers.
- Regularly receive information, guidance, and support, as well as the material resources necessary for the fulfillment of the assigned tasks.
- Be treated with equality and justice, without discrimination based on race, sex, religion, social status, or political creed.
- Participate actively in the organization, collaborating in the preparation, design, execution, and evaluation of programs or projects.
- Be insured against the risks to which they may be exposed, including civil liability with respect to third parties.
- Be reimbursed for expenses incurred in the performance of their activities, provided this has been previously agreed upon.
- Have an identification card certifying their status as a volunteer.
- Carry out the activity in appropriate health and safety conditions based on its nature and characteristics.
- Receive a certificate from the organization accrediting their participation as a volunteer.
- Carry out voluntary action in their immediate environment.
- Freely withdraw from their volunteering activities.
- Other rights derived from Volunteering Law 45/2015.
- Fulfill the commitments made to the volunteering entity, respecting its aims and statutes.
- Maintain the due confidentiality of information received and known during the development of their voluntary action.
- Refuse any material or financial compensation they might receive from the beneficiaries of the voluntary action.
- Respect the rights of the beneficiaries of the voluntary action.
- Act with due diligence and in a spirit of solidarity.
- Properly use personal identification and the volunteering entity's insignia.
- Respect and care for the material resources made available to them.
- Comply with established health and safety measures.
- In the event of resignation, provide sufficient notice to avoid serious harm to the beneficiaries, the service, and the organization.
- Volunteering activities will not be permitted in positions reserved for paid staff.
- In order to prevent conflicts of interest or the perception of favoritism, any person who holds a professional role or maintains a paid employment relationship may not engage in volunteering work related to the scope of their professional occupation.
